Virtual Conference Participation

Conference Activities Through COVID-19

This year's IAMA Conference in September was originally scheduled to be on the UC Davis campus from December 8 -10, 2021. However, due to the continued uncertainties, safety concerns, and travel restrictions still at play due to COVID-19, we have moved the conference fully online to ensure equal access and engagement among all participants.

The conference will now be held December 7 - 10, 2021 online. Our Technical Planning Committee has created a schedule that spans over 4 days with recorded and live sessions that will allow for attendees to join virtually while still attending to other work and family obligations. By keeping sessions to each day to ~6 hours with lots of breaks we hope attendees will have a better chance at staying captivated and providing engaging questions for our presenters.

Additionally, all presentations will be pre-recorded to allow you the flexibility to watching ones you may not be able to attend fully as a live participant. You will have the opportunity to pose questions to the speakers prior to the live event and a select few will be asked of the speakers during the live Questions & Answer Sessions.

We will be sure to keep you informed of all our plans as they continue develop, but you are welcome to also check our website below for regular updates!

Thank you for your flexibility & understanding!

How will I participate as a virtual attendee at this conference?

We will be hosting the 2021 IAMA Conference on a virtual event platform. On the platform you will be able to watch sessions and provide comments or questions for the speakers. Additionally, you will be able to view all the speaker biographies, the presentation descriptions and connect individually with other attendees.

Information on logging in and the use of the platform will be shared in the coming months.

Please stay tuned for additional information!
